Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder

I know I know I need to stop reviewing products that are not readily available to purchase in South Africa but I couldn’t resist, if you saw my previous post on the loreal lash paradise mascara, then you would know I placed an order on Amazon, and this was in that package. I also recently reviewed the sorbet translucent powder and I was hooked. Let’s discuss the pros and cons of the Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder.

The Package

I will admit it is a bit bulky, it is definitely not something I would carry around in my handbag and definitely not in a clutch, but then again I don’t think you would need to especially with normal to dry skin types. But on the other hand, its square and is a lot easier to store than a round package, there are so many round containers rolling around in my drawers so this is a nice change of pace. I have to say I prefer the old Maybelline fit me pressed powder compact, but considering this is a loose powder, I get it.

The Powder

Unfortunately, this one has a colour to it, and buying it online is probably not the best idea, more so for a beginner. I will, however, say that I don’t see a very dramatic difference in the shade of my foundation or even additional coverage when I use it.Then when you need some product you have to sift some out into the cap, and of course, it gets everywhere.

But, once this is blended it is amazing, it’s such a beautiful powder, it sets my foundations and blurs my pores all at the same time. I am however sad to advise you that this works so much better than the IT Cosmetics bye bye pores powder, or on my skin at least. If you are going to get this Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder, I wouldn’t recommend that you use it to set your under eye concealer. For me it seems to accentuate the dryness, unless I use very little powder and then follow up the blend with some setting spray on a blending sponge.

Unfortunately, I can’t compare this to a high-end loose setting powder because I don’t currently own any, but in comparison to the Sorbet, I would say these 2 are on par aside from the colour aspect of course. This Maybelline Fit Me loose Powder sits so beautifully on the skin, it’s like it’s not even there, and for someone with my skin type, it’s so awesome.

The Price

I purchased the Maybelline loose powder on Amazon as I said and it was $5.89 which is currently R71.34, which is a pretty decent price, but then again Maybelline isn’t that pricey here, to begin with. If I add a part of the shipping fee from Aramex , then the total cost would be R121.34. I have to say though based on the price of the master chrome highlighter at dischem, which I almost had a heart attack for when I saw it, if this has to be sold here, I imagine it would hit around the R200.00 mark. But let’s not jump to any conclusions, right!?

Overall

The Maybelline fit me range hasn’t disappointed me yet, and I hope it never does. This line is amazing and as long as it is sold, I will continue to recommend it. I’ve recently seen that the fit me concealers are also available which I tweeted the other day, I am so patiently waiting for the age rewind concealer!!!

That’s all from me beautiful people of the internet, let’s chat in the comments about your thoughts on this powder if you have tried it too. If not leave me some recommendations of what to try next.

Have a Be YOU tiful day! You’re worth it!

    1. It is I would have expected a translucent powder from them, but then again all the pressed powders are coloured too… I really don’t see a colour difference but my medium shade is just right for me , perhaps I should try it on its own as a “mineral foundation” and see what happens

    1. LOL I have that problem with foundations and setting sprays hahahhahaha…And I don’t even wear it everyday! It’s the internet, we need to be banned 😀
