Hello there, how’s it hanging. I already did my review on the Clinique take the Day off, which you can check out here. So I wanted to venture out and try this little guy. And I mean that literally, the Sorbet Salon Skin Cleansing Balm is not only cheaper, but also MUCH smaller. If you think about it, it’s the same price as the Clinique.
The real question is, does it work the same. I have to say at first I thought so, but then….
Firstly the packaging is the best, because, it comes with a spatula, I really appreciate that for R199.00 product. It feels the same when you apply it like most other balm kind of removers. I also found little re-useable microfiber rounds from them. They are so cute but are really useful. In conjunction these 2 products work very well.
The thing for me is, you would imagine you are using the Clinique one, until after rinsing. Unfortunately this is one that you have to double cleanse with. Don’t get me wrong I always do, but I don’t like that filmy feeling it leaves behind.
And of course they don’t smell the same. But other than that it’s a great dupe if you’re short of R160.00. Then again the Clinique balm, full size [125ml], lasts me around 3 months and I wear makeup most days, even if it’s concealer and mascara. Whereas the Sorbet Salon Skin Cleansing Balm [50ml] lasts all of 5 weeks because the pot is that small.
Would I repurchase?
I really don’t think I would unless I was in a pinch, but in that case I would just get a cleansing oil or micellar water. If you wanted to check it out anyway, you can find it at Clicks Pharmacies.
What’s your favorite way to remove makeup ?
Do you prefer the Clinique balm over sorbet or have you even tried the Sorbet Salon Skin Cleansing Balm?
And that’s all folks
I hope you enjoyed and found it helpful. Also I started doing swatch videos on Instagram so come follow me for eyeshadow swatches….It’s oddly satisfying.
Have a wonderful week gorgeous! You’re worth it
